As if the BMW did not offer the ultimate driving experience already, the M-Series was created. Driving enthusiasts everywhere recognized the sheer power and performance this car delivers on a massive scale and BMW continues to create perfection in the development involved in creating a vehicle so in-tune to the driver. This harmony in creation is what pushes BMW to push the M-Series farther than its ever been before and the next generation BMW M5 is no exception.
The recent generation M5 was the first to incorporate a V10 engine coupled with a 7-speed SMG gearbox, but its successor is due to push the envelope to a twin-turbo V8 engine controlled by a new 7-speed DCT double-clutch transmission. This not-so-subtle change will definitely add some extra hip to its hop (raising the power from an already powerful 507 hp to almost 600 hp.) But as I’m sure you’ve guessed by now, that’s not the only performance enhancer this stallion’s going to flaunt. I was fortunate enough to test drive the current M5 at my Chicago BMW M5 dealer and to be honest, the drive was impeccable. Making something great even better is a feat in its own right, but the new M5 promises to deliver above expectations.
After visiting my Chicago BMW Dealer, the first thing that’s apparent with the M-Series in general is the focus on the harmony of performance and luxury. Of course the Chicago 5 Series I also tested had both of these things (and was frankly more than pleasant to drive), but the M5 is the first sedan of its kind to push performance to the very outer limits. However, the outward appearances aren’t sacrificed to create a car that is in-your-face, overly sporty. The distinct changes to the body reflect only enough to make the vehicle worthy of the M-Series title. But trust me, it’s enough.
Make sure you check in with your Chicago BMW M5 dealership to get the latest updates. But only if you want the best driving experience anyone anywhere has to offer.
